A New Time
Rev. Martha Daniels has accepted the call to be Pastor at another Metropolitan Community Church (MCC) in the Chicago area. She starts June 2016.
So what about MCC Windsor?
What about it?
The Windsor Pride Community Education and Resource Centre hosted a farewell dinner for Rev. Martha on February 13, 2016. On behalf of the Board of Directors and Congregation of Metropolitan Community Church of Windsor, thank you. What a wonderful opportunity to express our gratitude for all that Martha Daniels gave Windsor-Essex during her eleven years with us!
Many people said lovely things about Rev. Martha and her accomplishments – all of which are true.
Some people even mentioned how MCC Windsor is an important thread in the fabric of Windsor's LGBTQIA communities – I couldn't agree more.
So where are you?
MCC Windsor, like many faith communities, struggles to keep the doors open for those who need us now, and will need us in the future. We need your help.
To those folks who confirmed that MCC is important and necessary to Windsor, I invite you to get involved with us.
Show up. Participate in our social and outreach events. Donate some money.
Even one of these things (preferably all three) will help us continue to be the useful resource you claim that we are.
MCC Windsor is not closing – not yet, anyway. With your help, we won't close at all.
A new time has begun. Be a part of it!
